can we be so sure

are we face to face

with the plausible

or the risible

we have to discern

learn a trick or two

about our species

how it operates

whether we loathe it

or maybe prefer

to gloss over it

enjoying the show

luckily we have

immunity here

from accusations

of perpetration

hardly feasible

in poetry world

permission given

to make this stuff up

and surely this is

where we find ourselves

look at these stanzas

count the syllables

so here's more design

denying the real

just means insisting

no-one corrects you

but our human world

is full of misteaks

which some people find

quite hard to swallow

one of them being

the old straw man move

that colour vision

undermines physics

or the less than sound

view that acoustics

is all about how

your noise makes me feel.
